Rick Shiozaki - "Indecision is the thief of opportunity"

Hi there! I'm

Rick Shiozaki,

an AWS-Certified Global Sales

@ Kawasaki Motors, Japan

Global Sales Executive with experience with 3 years of:

☑ Contract, SalesOps, Logistics, Project Management

☑ Ownership - Driven Leadership

☑ Building New from None

Clarity-driven Leader with Full Ownership & Curious mind.

I excel at building from scratch, passionate about creating solutions, teams, and organizations.

My passion for building began at 5 years old, when I got a model kit of RMS Titanic as a Christmas gift. I would often stay up all night thinking about how to approach difficult building tasks. And that's when I realized, it was more than just building: it was a way to solve problems, and I loved it.

Over the next 9 years, I honed this skill by building models, especially Mini 4WD racing cars, winning 2nd place in a prefectural racing tournament.

At 14, participating in Model United Nations debates shifted my focus to team building and scaling solutions, earning me 2 awards in debates with 200 participants. This experience later brought me to an active leadership role, where, as a manager of the university Judo team, I led a competitive but inclusive team with 55 members from 17 countries.

In my current job role, I continue to be at the forefront of helping my company scale, by running strategic projects launching a total of 30 motorbike models in Korea, Taiwan, and Turkey.

"I worked with Rick to rebuild our judo club during the pandemic, when we were struggling to retain members to keep running the team. We often clashed over ideas, but I always admired his passion for team management. Without him as manager, the team wouldn’t have survived, and I’m truly grateful for everything he’s done."

Shunta Sato

Captain of Keio University Judo Team

"Rick took over a system renovation project I had been leading in 2023, and his fresh perspective made an immediate impact. His resouceful thinking always impressed me, and I believe it was key to the project's success. His sharp analytical skills would be an asset in any role."
